This Privacy Policy explains how 10000 Apps (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use our website, 10000apps.com, and the games and apps we publish on Google Play and the App Store (our “apps”). We are based in Wingham, NSW 2429, Australia, and we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions: use our contact form.
1. Information we collect
When you play our apps
- Account details. When you first open one of our apps we create a guest account identified by a random install ID. If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we receive an identifier for your account with that service and, if they share it, your name and email address. Apple may give us a private relay email address instead of your real one. We never receive your password.
- Game progress. Your saved progress, levels, scores, coins, items, settings and in-game messages and gifts, so you can continue on another device.
- Purchases. If you buy something in an app, we receive the product, price, currency, date and the store’s transaction number so we can deliver it and check it is genuine. Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card or bank details.
- Gameplay and device information. How you use the app (for example, levels started and finished, buttons tapped, rewards claimed, ads watched, errors and crashes), plus device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, screen size and memory. We use this to fix problems, balance our games and understand which features are used.
- Technical data. Your IP address and connection details when the app talks to our servers.
- Messages you send us. If you contact support from an app, we receive your message, any name and email you give, and your Player ID and device details so we can help.
When you visit our website
- Contact and account deletion forms. Your name (contact form only), email address, message and any details you choose to add, such as your Player ID.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, recorded in security and server logs.
- Cookies. Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare, our security provider, may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from attacks and automated traffic.
What we do not collect
Our apps do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. We do not ask for your real name, phone number or date of birth, and we never put names, emails or anything you type into gameplay statistics.
2. How we use your information
- To run our apps: create your account, save and restore your progress, and keep it in sync across devices.
- To deliver and verify purchases, and to prevent fraud, cheating and abuse.
- To answer your messages and provide support.
- To fix bugs, measure performance and improve our games, using gameplay statistics.
- To send notifications in the app, if you allow them. You can turn these off in your phone’s settings at any time.
- To keep our website and servers secure.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
3. Advertising
Some of our apps may offer optional reward videos (for example, “watch a video to get extra coins”). These ads are provided by advertising partners, who may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address and device information to show and measure ads, under their own privacy policies. We will list these partners in this policy before any of our apps shows ads. You can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalised ads in your phone’s settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our apps and website, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers that store account and game data.
- Cloudflare, which protects our website and servers from attacks and delivers game files. It sees requests as they pass through its network.
- Google and Apple, for sign-in, purchases and app distribution (Google Play and the App Store), and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications.
- Meta (Facebook), only if you choose to sign in with Facebook.
- Advertising partners, if an app shows ads (see section 3).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our players, us or others.
5. Overseas processing
Some of these providers, such as Cloudflare, Google, Apple and Meta, may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian law.
6. How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account and game progress | Until you delete your account. Guest accounts with no activity for 24 months are deleted automatically. |
| Gameplay statistics | 13 months, then kept only as totals that cannot identify you |
| Purchase records | 7 years (tax law); anonymised if you delete your account |
| Support and website messages | 2 years |
| Server and security logs | 30 days |
7. Deleting your account and your other choices
You can delete your account at any time in the game (Settings → Account → Delete my account) or on our account deletion page. Deletion covers all of our apps, and data is erased within 30 days (backups within a further 60 days), except the records described on that page.
You can also turn off Share gameplay statistics in the game under Settings → Privacy, turn off notifications in your phone’s settings, and ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it through our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.
If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, you also have the right to object to or restrict our use of your information, and to data portability. We rely on our contract with you (to run the app you chose to use), our legitimate interests (to improve and secure our services), your consent (where we ask for it, for example for optional statistics in those regions) and legal obligations. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us through our contact form and we will delete it.
9. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and by storing passwords and security tokens only in protected or scrambled (hashed) form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will notify you and the authorities if a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, as Australian law requires.
10. Questions and complaints
Contact us through our contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps change. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and tell you in the app if the changes are significant.
